Bush Found About Cheney Subpoena Today

Earlier this week it was reported that Vice President Cheney will be called as a witness for the defense in the trial of Scooter Libby. According to Cheney spokesperson Lea Anne McBridge, “We’ve cooperated fully in this matter and we’ll continue to do so.”

However, during this morning’s press conference, CNN’s Elaine Quiano asked the President about this development.

“What is your reaction to that, is that something you’ll resist?”

Bush responded that he was unaware of this development until reading the newspapers this morning.

“No, I read about it in the newspaper today, and uh, it’s an interesting piece of news and that’s all I’m going to comment about an ongoing case.”

Why is it I knew the Vice President was being subpoenaed a day before the President did? Why was it that the President of the United States, the leader of the free world, had to read about his Vice President testifying in the newspapers? Guess the Patriot Act doesn’t cover sharing information within the Executive Branch.

Before this clueless disaster leaves office~BrendanOMaidian said“Clueless disaster”. lol. I really like that. I’ve described our president, the village idiot, in many, many ways, but “clueless disaster” has such a nice ring to it.Thanks for the chuckle.

  3. MDB says:

Clueless – totally, utterly, clueless … “Bubble-boy” doesn’t seem to do him justice it’s a world all his own. Man … are we in trouble.

  4. Actually, Dick C. (not to be confused with Dixie) didn’t know about the subpoena until he read about it in Mein Kampf, the autobiography of Karl “Sig Heil” Rove. At his news conference, Dumya’s utterances were being fed to his mini-mic backpack/earpiece by his faithful Turd Blossom. Dumya thought he was being asked about a stud-penis, not knowing what the word ‘subpoena’ meant. That he mentioned a newspaper was just a slip of his oily tongue, for he has never read one except for the comics. Before this clueless disaster leaves office, at least another thousand US troops will be murdered along with several tens of thousands of Iraqis who will become “collateral damage.”Had he been a democat, he would have been assassinated years ago, a la Kennedy, King, and Kennedy…KKK. How Kute.

  5. This is huge, and shows Bush pays attention to nothing. I found your blog, and it entertains me. Perhaps you should read mine?

  6. Matthew says:

Bush is lying. He’s already blurted out that he doesn’t read the newspapers. He’s just telling reporters that not only will he not comment, but that he thinks they’re worthless fools.”I read it in the newspaper today” is Bush speak for “I know everything I need to know about it to lie to you, and you already know that, too.”You can tell he’s lying, because his lips are moving.

  7. Anonymous says:

Give the guy some credit. It obviously takes a little longer to read and comprehend the paper than it does to read “My Pet Goat.”

  8. Mosquito says:

obviously Bush is OUT of the loop….traveling in his own little Bush LoopBuzz Buzz

  9. Jerry says:

Isn’t that Bush’s favorite way of dodging anything he doesn’t want to deal with? He is forever ignorant of something, or just found out and have to get back to you on it.
